The Binibinis in their national costume

Presenting this year's binibinis in their traditional costumes.

This first set is of the ladies wearing the traditional terno. The terno which in my opinion is the Filipina's national costume. Popularize by former first lady, Imelda Marcos. The terno is classy and regal. It brings out the elegance and sophistication of every Filipina who chooses to wear it.

A majoriy of this year's candidates chooses to wear the terno. Here are some of my favorites.

Bb. no. 1 Dane Felisse Marasigan

Classic look with a great head piece.

Bb. no. 2 Arienne Louise Calingo

I love Arienne and I love this dress. Beautiful detail and I love the bust line. The fringe details on the sleeves adds drama. The mermaid cut adds height. Great presentation too by Arienne. Classy and elegant. Easily the best in Terno.

Bb. No. 5 Joselle Mariano

The hand painted details is WOW.

Bb. no. 7 Jennyline Malpaya

The gold embroidery matches the white gown perfectly. The long fringes on the sleeves reminisces the ones on Venus Raj's years ago. With her hair side swiped with soft wavy curls, Jennyline is the epitome of a beautiful Filipina.

Bb. no. 8 Leitz Camyll Ang

Easily one of my favorite gown. The color, the cut and the embroidered details are just amazing. Camyll surely looks expensive and very regal in this creation. The feathered fan is a perfect combination.

Bb. no. 12 Angelique de Leon

The whole ensemble is just perfect. The top is gorgeously embroidered and look at that flowy bottom with textured details. Angelique is a picture of a very lovely Filipina. Another one for best in Terno.

Bb. no. 14 Sarah Jireh Asido

I love the touch of pink and that ribbon like detail running from the bust line to the sleeves. The pearl beadings add glamour to the entire look.

Bb. no. 15 Mariel de Leon

What can i say? Gorgeously Imeldific!!! The gown screams WOW!!! Mariel looks every inch a winner.

Bb. no. 19  Rachel Peters

The look is similar to that of Angelique's but this one has petal appliques instead of a purely embroidered top. To say the least, Rachel is lovely.

Bb. no. 21 Jamaica Ambal

A beautiful Filipiñana wedding dress.

Bb. no. 27 Beatrice Valente

I like the simplicity of the gown. The color is perfect. The detail running through the center adds height. Red carpet ready.

Overall, my best Terno is that of Bb. no. 2 Arienne Calingo, while my best in terno is Bb. no. 15 Mariel de Leon.
