Rachel Louise Peters in Miss Universe 2017

Malapit na malapit na at nag-uuminit na ang mga fans para sa Miss Universe 2017. Excited na ang lahat at wala nang mapagsidlan ang nag-uumapaw nilang pananabik. Bakit ka nyo? Well..... Pansinin nyo ang ating kandidata. Palaban na palaban. Winner na winner ang vibes. Sa mga naging recent candidates natin sa patimpalak pagandahang ito, ang nag-iisang Miss Universe, siya na ang pinakahanda.

Yan ay larawang kuha nang sumali siya sa National Costume Competition na ginanap sa Planet Holywood ng Las Vegas. Ang inspirasyon ng kanyang pambansang kasuotan ay ang Mahiwagang ibon na Sarimanok, na isang simbolo ng magandang kapalaran sa katimugan ng Pilipinas.

Sari-saring reaksyon ang nakuha mula sa mga netizens hinggil sa kakaibang kasuotang ito. Sa unang pagkakataon, hindi tradisyonal na kasuotan ang inirampa ni Miss Philippines sa Miss Universe. Kadalasang Filipiniana ang sinusuot ng ating mga kandidata sa patimpalak na ito.

Sa kasuotang ito ay nabigyang pansin ang mahahabang biyas ni Rachel Peters. Ang mga nakaiinggit niyang long legs ang itunuturing niyang kanyang best asset. Litaw na litaw din ang magandang hubog ng kanyang katawan. Ang kulay ginto ay bumagay din sa lokasyon ng kompetisyon, ang Las vegas.

Mahusay itong nairampa ni Bb. Rachel Peters. Umani sya ng malalakas na hiyawan mula sa mga manonood. Itinuring syang isa sa mga best performers para sa patimpalak na ito ng iba't ibang pageant experts.

Ito si rachel kasama ng ibang delegada para sa Miss Universe National Costume Competition.

Makalipas ang ilang araw ay ginanap naman ang preliminary competition ng patimpalak. Umani na naman ng kaliwa't kanang papuri ang ating kandidata. Nakatataba ng puso at nakaka-proud na ang ating pambato ay talagang bigay todo sa kanyang performances.

Sa swimsuit competition, na tiyak ng lahat na mapagtatagumpayan niya ay humataw siya at unang ipinamalas ang kanyang pinaghandaang infinity walk.

Napa-WOW ang mga manonood at nalaglag ang mga panga nang lumabas sa entablado ang ating binibini. Kitang kita naman ang magandang hubog ng kanyang katawan, bunga ng kanyang paggiging mahilig sa sports. si Rachel ay isang surfer, kung kaya't toned ang kanyang katawan. Hindi yan hinubog ng gym. Halata namang active lifestyle ang humubog sa kanyang katawan na hindi mapaparisan ng pagbubuhat sa gym.

Hataw din ang kanyang pagrampa. Sakto lang at hindi sobra. Ito ang obserbasyon ng marami. Ang bawa't kembot ng baywang at pagkumpas ng kamay ay tamang tama ang timpla. Pati ang pag-ikot at pagtigil upang mag-pose ay Pak na Pak, ika nga.

As usual, hiyawan at tilian ang mga tagahanga ni Miss Philippines. Masigabo at dumadagundong ang paghanga ng mga fans. Makikitaan naman ng dagdag na kompiyansa ang ating kandidata.

Bukod sa swimsuit, nagpasiklaban din ang mga kandidata sa Evening gown. Rumampa ang ating pambato suot ang isang gown na dinisenyo ni Val Taguba. Isa itong gold na column gown na may slit sa kanang hita.

Hubog na hubog ito sa katawan ni Rachel. Hapit na hapit at naipamalas nang husto ang magandang hugis ng kanyang katawan. Ang slit sa kanang hita ang pinakahighlight nito. Kita ang long legs na syang asset ng ating binibini.

Bukod sa pagka-sexy ay napakaeleganteng tignan ni Rachel sa kanyang kasuotang panggabi. Napaka-regal at queenly ng kanyang dating. Perfect din ang styling at nabigyang emphasis ang kanyang gandang Filipina. Mula sa kulay, cut at style, perfect na perfect.

Sa darating na Lunes, November 27 ang finals ng Miss Universe 2017. Handang handa na ang ating kampeon. In best fighting form, hindi lamang sa swimsuit at gown palaban ang ating kandidata, mahusay din sya sa pakikipagtalastasan. Kung kaya't inaasahan ding mapagtatagumpayan nya ang Q and A portion, na syang pagkukuhanan ng malaking puntos sa pagpili ng bagong Miss Universe.

Naririto kaming lahat na nagdarasal at sumusuporta sa iyo. Sa darating na Lunes, Nov. 27 (sa Pilipinas), dadagundong ang Las vegas sa lakas ng hiyawan ng iyong mga tagahanga. Mariel's journey to Miss International 2017

The finals of Miss International 2017 will happen next week, November 14, 2017. This is one of the most anticipated pageant every year. This Tokyo based pageant is one of the Big 3 in the international pageant arena. The Philippines along with Venezuela has won the most number of crown for this pageant. The Philippines has 6 and aiming for a seventh this year, with bet Maria Angelica De Leon.

Mariel, as we all know, is the daughter of Actors Christopher De Leon and Sandy Andolong. She joined Bb. Pilipinas twice before earning the chance to represent the Philippines in Miss International. She is an opera singer and is also now an actress. She is set to debut in the movie, Ang Panday, starring Coco Martin.

Mariel is naturally on the curvy side. She is big-framed as well. But her height compliments it well giving her a good proportioned body. She looks angelic yet sensual. She looks fragile yet oozes with tons of sex appeal. She has the Barbie doll look that MIO adores and at the same time possesses the Baywatch babe vavavoom sexiness. She is a Disney princess and an Anime bombshell combined.

She has a good chance (a very strong one) in bringing home the crown this year. Though it may seem impossible since the Philippines is the current title holder (Kylie Versoza). A back-to-back has not happened in the history of Miss International. This makes Mariel's quest for the crown  a lot more difficult that her competitors.

Looking at the pictures above, I am confident that Mariel will deliver. She has all the goods Miss International wants. She definitely passed the looks department. In addition, she articulates well. She is a good communicator. Recently The pageant has been focusing on ladies who speaks well, as the winner will act as the official ambassador/spokesperson of the MIO. 

The best of luck Mariel. May the stars align in your favor come finals night. Do your best!!! We shall be rallying behind you. Together let us blew the roof of Tokyo Dome off.

Rachel Peters for Miss Universe

The pageant season is on a roll. Week after week, pageants are held. The most anticipated one is, of course, the Miss Universe. This year, the expected number of participants is expected to be at its highest. Confirmed contestants already exceeds 90.

This year, our country's bet is Rachel Peters. She is 25 years old and is an entrepreneur . She likes to surf and is a certified beach bum. She is also a dog lover.  

 
Among our Binibini bets, she has one of the best body. She is also tall with a height of 5'10". Her toned body and long legs are her best weapon.

She is half Filipina and Half British. She has never been to UK but has stayed in Thailand during her school days. She returned to the Philippines after schooling and has never left since. She stays in CamSur and owns a cafe by the beach in Siargao.

Her boyfriend is CamSur Governor Migs Villafuerte, who is very supportive of her Miss Universe quest. He trains Rachel with Q and A and also helps with her styling.

Rachel has now perfected her Miss Universe walk which she labeled as the infinity walk. Her training is supervised by the Kagandahang Flores (KF) camp. For the Miss Universe competition, she shall be wearing Val Taguba's creations for evening gown and national costume.

Her national costume is said to be handmade and specially crafted from Mindanao. The inspiration of her costume is the mythical sarimanok. It will be in monotonic gold color, body hugging and flamboyant enough for Las Vegas, this year's pageant venue. 

Her evening gown, on the other hand, will also be body fitting, showing Rachel's perfect curves. It is also expected to have high slits as Rachel is fond of showing off her legs. Fans are also speculating that she will wear separate gowns for the preliminary competition and the finals night.

I have very high hopes and expectations for Rachel. In recent years, I think she is our most prepared candidate. The look, personality, background, etc. She is just perfect. In every pictures and videos of her, she looks Miss Universe.She has got the same vibes as Paulina Vega had in 2014. The competition has not even started but you can clearly see that she is the one. 

The best of luck Rachel!!! May you bring home the Miss Universe crown. Do your best. The whole Philippines and all Filipinos around the world will be rallying behind you. We are all together in this journey.

 

Back to back for the Philippines

What a surprising treat we got this weekend November 4 and 5, 2017. Our bets for Miss Earth 2017 and Reina Hispano Americana 2017 both won their respective pageant in less than 12 hours. As a bonus, we also won 1st runner up positions in Miss Globe and Miss Lumiere International earlier on November 4.

The 1st good news came from Albania, where the Miss Globe was held. Indeed a satisfying victory for Nelda, representing the Philippines. After Elizabeth Clenci's 2nd runner up finish in MGI, Nelda's second place finish is indeed a good cause for celebration.

Well done Nelda. Good job BPCI and KF team.

 

A few hours later, another good news starts spreading. Another Filipina scored a victory. This time its Sammie Anne Legaspi, A BPCI alumna. She also placed second in Miss Lumiere International World 2017. It maybe a pageant we have never heard of, but hey, a win is a win. Good job Sammie.

As evening came, Another Filipina made a loud noise, and it was the loudest of them all. Karen Ibasco won Miss Earth 2017. She is the 4th Filipina to win the coveted title. The 3rd Filipina to win in a span of 4 years.

As if the jubilation was not yet enough, The next day November 5, live from Bolivia, Teresita Ssen Marquez was adjudged Reina Hispano Americana 2017. A first for a Filipina in this Latina dominated pageant. Our favorite Winwyn aced all segments of the competition. Swimsuit, evening gown and Q and A. She may be the only one who does not speak Spanish but the content of her answer sealed the deal. An excerpt from her answer says: ... the Hispanic culture is not about language only. It is also about the love for God, love for country, love for history and culture and love for family... The Hispanic culture is meant to be celebrated."

Its indeed a successful day for the Philippines in the world of pageantry. 4 wins in 24 hours.

Miss Grand International 2017 : The Final Result

The finals night of Miss Grand International 2017 was held last November 25 at the Vinpearl Covention Center in Phu Quoc, Viet Nam. The show was a marvelous spectacle, showcasing the beauty of the 77 participating candidates from around the world. The show was delayed for a few minutes due to weather disturbances. As the rain stopped, the show begins and the party started.

This year the Grand title was won by Miss PERU, Maria Jose Lora. Lora was favored by the fans to win since the beginning.

Completing her court are :

1st runner-up : VENEZUELA (Tulia Aleman)
2nd runner-up : PHILIPPINES (Elizabeth Durado Clenci)
3rd runner-up: PUERTO RICO (Brenda Azaria Jimenez)
4th runner-up: CZECH REPUBLIC (Nikola Uhlírová)

Our girl, Elizabeth, really did her best throughout the competition. Everything she did during the pageant were carefully planned and well executed. From her classy looks during the pre-pageant activities, the drama she put on during the costume presentation, her sassy walk during the swimsuit competition to her glammed-up look during the preliminaries and the finals. All of them was near perfection. Very well thought of indeed. 

 

With her 2nd runner up finish, The Philippines continues its winning streak, 4 consecutive top 5 placement.

Winwyn Marquez in Reina Hispano Americana 2017

This year, the Philippines will send its first ever representative to the Reina Hispano Americana pageant. Our representive, Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez, is an actress and dancer. She is the daughter of both Actors/politicians Joey Marquez and Alma Moreno.

The Philippines was invited to join the pageant for the first time this year. The Reina Hispano Americana pageant aims to celebrate the Hispanic Culture and Heritage throughout the world.

Here are some photos of Winwyn for the promotion of the pageant.

Winwyn was among the few candidates who arrived ahead of the pageant schedule. With Miss Nicaragua and Miss Paraguay, they spearheaded the promotion and campaign for the pageant, doing photo shoots and sponsors visits.  

Here Winwyn is captured in a 2 piece bikini for her official portrait. As they say, pak na pak. Our girl really nailed it.

Winwyn is currently doing very well in the pageant. For their talent show, she did a combined Sinkil and Latin dance, showing off her impeccable dancing skills.

   

 

She left the audience in awe. The male host was even caught jaw dropped in amazement. 

In the recently concluded national costume competition, Philippines was chosen as one of the top 3. 

 

Her costume is inspired by the precolonial Pintados. It is designed by Edwin Uy, famed for his winning costumes in both local and international pageants.

The pageant final is on November 5 (6 in the Philippines). Let us continue to pray and show our support for our lovely Miss Philippines.

Among our candidates competing internationally this year, hers is one that I'm excited about. Since her Bb. Pilipinas debut, she has displayed determination in winning a crown. Now she is just inches away in fulfilling her dream as a beauty queen.

Miss Grand International 2017 Prliminary Competition

The preliminary competition of the Miss Grand International 2017 has just recently concluded last October 23. The ladies sashayed in swimsuits and evening gowns. The production was great. Aside from the beautiful ladies, they have got great hosts, one of them is MGI2017 1st runner-up Nicole Cordoves. The stage was the grandest ever with LED screen adding magic with every change of image and color.
